The Pool Website

The Pool is RMIT’s student screenwriter organization. As part of my course assessment, I was required to demonstrate working in a team setting with other multimedia designers on a professional project, and was given the task of updating The Pool for 2007. My roles included organizing and leading my group of designers in order to meet deadlines and liaising with The Pool Coordinator.

My group developed a new solution for The Pool, including a new structure for content and a fresh design. The new website design features a directory of students that can be sorted by name, genres that the student writes in and awards they have received, making it simple for potential directors or producers to find a screenwriter suited to their needs.

Once the website was completed, I was approached by The Pool Coordinator to help maintain the website. A large part of the redesign was to feature new projects, interviews and scripts each month to give more reason for people to keep coming back to the website. As website administrator, I uploaded and formatted content for these articles, as well as adding more students to the screenwriting directory.
