The Principalities of Kaithel
The Tribe of Power was the first of the tribes to fall. Their Tribal Chiefs began sacrificing their people to the Unnamed One for more power, and in the end they began a war with the other tribes, and lost. They were driven into the Western Deserts, where many died. But in their solitude, they began building fortresses and strongholds in the desert plains, and formed an army of gladiators and of undead. At the end of the First Age, they reappeared to reclaim the Central Lands. However the descendants of the Tribe of Wisdom defeated them and held council to decide the fate of each person of the tribe of power. Many of the common people of the tribe of power were found innocent, and were given the lands of Kaithel to start afresh.
The common people settled into five towns, which became the five principalities of Kaithel. In their founding the people set up rules to govern the lands as a whole, which included forbidding the use of necromancy. But over time the principalities separated from each other, and although their cultures were similar, they remembered each other no longer as kin, but as rival nations. Greed and jealousy were major catalysts for war in these lands, as brother turned on brother.
Of the Five principalities, only three now remain: Jorei, Gorn and Yr-Akii. The serious power-struggle in these lands was drawing the attention of the Saeothan Empire, who stepped in to stop the blood-shed and set up a truce between the three. But the art of necromancy has quietly slipped back into the hearts of the people of power, and it's use has been noticed more and more in recent times.

The Jorei Principality
The Jorei Principality is located in north-west Kaithel. This land is mostly comprised of flat plains and woodlands, and the River Kii-Ath runs through its centre. The southern border of Jorei has seen the most blood-shed of all the lands of Kaithel, while it's northern edge has been virtually untouched by war. This is due to a long wall outlining the principality's old border before it absorbed a majority of the lands of the old Fyraal Principality.
The Gorn Principality
The Gorn Principality includes much of the eastern half of Kaithel: from the Cliffs of Gaan to the foot of the Eastern Mountain Ranges. It is the more sinister principality of the three, being the cause of most of the wars between the principalities, and closer ties to necromancy.
The Yr-Akii Principality
The Yr-Akii Principality owns the southern lands of Kaithel. These lands are quite hilly, and the strategic terrain has helped the armies of Yr-Akii win many battles. The Yr-Akii principality has been known to change side as quickly as the wind changes direction, and has built a bad reputation for stabbing its allies in the back.
