iPod Flash Game

iPod Flash Game

Project: Course Assessment

Year: 2006

Role(s): Game Designer, Lead Programmer

The brief for this group project was to promote a new (fictitious) iPod product using viral marketing techniques. The iPod product had wireless headphones, and could broadcast music to other iPods. The game needed to show the benefits of the new iPod’s features in a fun and creative way.

The objective of the flash game is to broadcast your music to as many other people as possible within the time limit. Users control the character with the arrow keys and broadcast by holding down the spacebar.

What makes this game addictive is the increasing difficulty and a limitless high score. For every person that you broadcast your music to, you are given an increase in score and extra time. But your Time Meter runs out faster.

I designed the game concept and interactivity for the flash game. I then coded the flash game, as my teammates created the imagery for the game and sourced the audio.
